The training seminars are the first in a series of activities
to introduce North Carolina to the use of this innovative building renovation
tool. The sessions will be held in four locations: Asheville, Charlotte,
Raleigh, and Wilmington. Each two-day training program introduces attendees
to this creative approach to code compliance and follows the agenda below:
Day 1 - Introduction to the Rehab Code Approach
Day 2- Case studies of project applications of the Rehab
Code
Code officials, architects and engineers trained together
in these sessions.

Presenters:
SALVATORE DiCRISTINA is a code consultant from New
Jersey intimately familiar with the development and introduction of the
New Jersey Rehab Code. In addition to his private practice, the DiCristina
Group, Sal is a construction code official with the State University of
New Jersey responsible for code compliance on all new and existing facilities.
Mr. DiCristina is a regular instructor on the New Jersey Uniform Construction
Code and has fulfilled a key role as one of the states primary instructors
in the introduction of the New Jersey Rehab Code to the community at large.
